Fnatic, GIANTX, G2 Esports and Karmine Corp featured in the Team of the Week
End of the second week of the League of Legends EMEA Championship, which was slightly shorter with only the two weekend days. On Saturday, G2 Esports made their LEC debut after competing at the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup, having skipped the opening week. G2 completely stomped Team Heretics, with a near-perfect Game 2. Later, Movistar KOI also made their return to the LEC against GIANTX in a much tighter series. On Sunday, Fnatic stomped Team BDS to lock their Playoffs spot, followed by Karmine Corp also securing Playoffs qualification with a win over KOI.
The Sheep Esports' LEC Team of the Week — with two players per team maximum — features Kim "Canna" Chang-dong in the toplane, Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz in the jungle, Rasmus "Caps" Winther in midlane, Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek as AD Carry, and Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle as Support. Canna is our MVP of the week, as he delivered a strong performance in the best-of-three against KOI.
Top: Canna (MVP)
Karmine Corp’s victory was largely thanks to their Korean toplaner Canna, who is also our MVP of the week. In Game 1 on Rumble, with the help of Martin "Yike" Sundelin, he set up an early dive on Alex "Myrwn" Villarejo. Later, after a lane swap, the two toplaners met in the botlane, where Canna secured a solo kill on his opposite number, finishing far ahead in total damage dealt. Game 3 was literally a masterclass from Canna on K’Sante — a champion much less common this split compared to previous ones, but still just as strong. With a 7/1/13 scoreline and teamfights where he was simply unkillable, KC defeated their Spanish rivals and locked their Playoffs spot, largely thanks to Canna.
Jungle: Razork
Fnatic also secured their spot in the Summer Split Playoffs by defeating BDS. Razork delivered two standout performances, starting with a Jarvan IV game in which he claimed his 1,000th LEC kill, showing ever-growing synergy with Yoon “Poby” Sung-won. Game 2 was even stronger — a stellar showing on Poppy, highlighted by a lethal flash E into the wall on the BDS midlaner, leaving no room for outplay. The jungle was firmly Razork’s domain, paving the way for Fnatic to qualify for the Playoffs, now just one BO5 away from the Worlds 2025 in China.
Mid: Caps
G2 opened their Summer Split with a statement win over Team Heretics, completely dominating the series from start to finish. In both games, Caps farmed heavily as usual, generating massive resources while impacting the side lanes. In Game 2, his Orianna had a rough early laning phase against Viktor, but a timely gank from Rudy “SkewMond” Semaan quickly put him back on track. Caps closed the game with a 6/0/6 scoreline and side lane play that left TH scrambling. The match ended 17-0, with G2 controlling nearly everything on the map — a strong way to kick off their split.
ADC: Noah
Despite GIANTX’s loss, Noah delivered an impressive series. In Game 1 against Movistar KOI, his Kai’Sa performance was flawless — finding first blood early in the 2v2, securing a quadra kill at 25 minutes around Baron Nashor, dealing over 41,700 damage, racking up 19 kills, and surpassing 350 CS in just 36 minutes. Noah completely took over to put GX ahead in the series. In Game 3, GX built a lead of over 6,000 gold, with Noah shining on Jhin, but they unfortunately let the advantage slip and fell to KOI. Despite the loss, Noah’s performance this week was outstanding and, in our view, worthy of recognition.
Support: Mikyx
Mikyx picked up the split right where he left off, showing a convincing and creative level of play. In Game 1 against BDS, he set up two clean dives on the opposing botlane that gave Fnatic an early lead, while also infiltrating the enemy jungle to secure vision and catching Polat “Parus” Furkan Çiçek. In Game 2, the Slovenian support stood out on Neeko — still a key pick in the support meta — helping Fnatic close out another strong series. With two players in our Team of the Week, Fnatic’s jungle–support duo in particular showcased excellent movement, synergy, and map impact.
