Vitality, GIANTX and Karmine Corp featured in the Team of the Week
The regular season of the 2025 Spring Split has come to an end, with Karmine Corp finishing at the top of the standings with eight wins and just one loss. Team BDS, SK Gaming, Rogue, and Team Vitality are out, while Team Heretics narrowly secured their spot on Tuesday after a tiebreaker against the Bees. G2 Esports took down SK Gaming before falling to KC, and Movistar KOI cruised past a Rogue side missing their support.
The Sheep Esports' LEC Team of the Week — with two players per team maximum — features Kaan "Naak Nako" Okan in the toplane, Ismaïl "ISMA" Boualem in the maximumjungle, Vladimiros "Vladi" Kourtidis in midlane, Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert as AD Carry, and Yoon "Jun" Se-jun as Support. Caliste is our MVP of the week, as he delivered strong performances in both best-of-threes against Vitality and G2.
Top: Naak Nako
It wasn’t an easy week for Vitality, and it ended on a disappointing note, as the team won’t take part in the playoffs after losing their tiebreaker against Heretics. Even in defeat, during their first Bo3 of the week against KC, Vitality showed resilience in front of the crowd at the Arènes of Évry-Courcouronnes, managing to take a game off Karmine. Their next Bo3 was played against SK, still at the Arènes during the Road Show. Naak Nako stood out in both games, making the difference on Aatrox in the first and Rumble in the second. That win secured them a tiebreaker against Heretics in a Bo1 played only yesterday — which they unfortunately lost, despite yet another strong showing from Naak Nako on Gnar.
Jungle: ISMA
GIANTX picked up the pace at just the right time this regular season — just enough to clinch a spot in the playoffs — and that’s in large part thanks to the resurgence of their new jungler. After a rough start to the split, ISMA is now showing solid form. GX completely outclassed Heretics in a crucial Bo3, with the first game on Nidalee being a dominant display: the French jungler was involved in 11 of his team’s 14 kills. Game 2 was equally impressive, as ISMA shone on an aggressive, leading Xin Zhao, guiding GIANTX into the playoffs and living up to expectations.
Mid: Vladi
If we could have included more KC players in this TOTW (s/o Kim "Canna" Chang-dong), we absolutely would have. But to keep things balanced, we had to narrow it down to two, and the first is their Greek midlaner. In the first game against Vitality, Vladi played Sylas and delivered a monstrous performance: 10/0/10, pulling off impressive plays alongside his AD Carry as KC completely dismantled Vitality to the delight of their home crowd. The second Bo3 of the weekend was a big one, as Vladi faced off against Rasmus "Caps" Winther — who, despite a mixed year so far, remains one of the best midlaners in Europe. And from that clash, it was once again Karmine who came out on top. A decisive final game on Azir sealed a perfect road show weekend for Vladi and KC.
ADC: Caliste (MVP)
The MVP of the week once again goes to the AD Carry role. After Elias "Upset" Lipp last week, this time it’s his successor, Caliste, who takes the spotlight. The French rookie delivered two strong performances against Vitality, playing Varus and Kog’Maw, before shining in KC’s Bo3 against G2. His Ezreal was razor-sharp, landing nearly every skillshot and positioning flawlessly, ending the game 7/0/3. He then helped close out the series on Miss Fortune, securing another statement win for Karmine. Caliste continues to impress in his first LEC season, and KC are firmly on track for a potential back-to-back title.
Support: Jun
The second GIANTX player in this list is support Jun. In the first game, he played Gragas, providing key engages that allowed Isma to shine on Nidalee — with an honorable mention to Adam "Jackies" Jeřábek, who was nearly unkillable on midlane Sion — the first one in the LEC since 2019. In game two, Jun switched to a more traditional pick, Nautilus, where he once again stood out with clean engages and a solid frontline presence that helped GX close out the series. The Korean support continues to deliver strong performances after an already convincing 2024 season with Fnatic.
