Caliste succeeds Yike (2023) and Jackies (2024)
Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert has officially been crowned Rookie of the Year in the LEC, with the young talent dominating the vote and leaving little room for debate. Out of 38 voters, Caliste was ranked first by 28 of them, solidifying his breakout year with a landslide win. This year’s voting process was once again transparent, with results made available to the public. As a reminder, the votes were conducted at the end of the Summer Split regular season.
The competition featured talented players from all roles, but Caliste’s playmaker playstyle was undeniable. Rudy "Skewmond" Semaan managed to secure second place with five first-place votes, while Kaan "Naak Nako" Okan rounded out the podium in third. Behind them, Paul "Stend" Lardin finished in fourth, and Mateusz "Czajek" Czajka narrowly beat out Eren "Lot" Yıldız for fifth place by a single point, leaving Lot in sixth.
A title and an amazing playstyle
Caliste had an outstanding rookie year in the 2025 LEC, quickly establishing himself as one of the league’s best AD carries. Joining Karmine Corp's LEC roster as soon as he became eligible at 18, he impressed with a remarkable win rate of 60.6% (including First Stand).
His gameplay stood out with a high average KDA of 5.4, 9.8 CS per minute, and 739.5 damage per minute, reflecting a high-risk, high-reward playstyle. Caliste played an important role in Karmine Corp’s strong season overall, especially during their opening run to the Winter 2025 Grand Final. His rapid rise and consistent performance have been rarely seen, drawing comparisons to the impact made by players like Rasmus "Caps" Winther in their debut seasons.
