Driver has posted a “Looking for Team” announcement
CTBC Flying Oyster see their fourth player leave. First, Ling “Kaiwing” Kai Wing joined Vivo Keyd Stars in the CBLOL, followed by Yu “JunJia” Chun-Chia and Tsai “HongQ” Ming-Hong moving to JD Gaming in the LPL. Now, Shen “Driver” Tsung-Hua is saying his goodbyes, while Hsu “Rest” Shih-Chieh will stay, as his contract was recently extended.
Only two players from the six-man roster originally fielded by CFO in the 2025 LCP are expected to stay, as Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan is also likely to re-sign. The coaching staff will remain intact, with Wong “Chawy” Xing Lei and Liu “Wulala” Sheng-Wei. CFO will have to write a new chapter in their history, with most of the factors behind their past success now gone.
Driver and Rest, a year shared together
The 2025 season was a true success for CFO. Champions of all three LCP splits, they were the only team in the world to attend all three international events: First Stand in Seoul, the Mid-Season Invitational in Vancouver, and Worlds in China. They were also one of the few teams to field a six-man roster and make it work.
The two toplaners brought very different champion pools and shared stage time almost evenly. Driver played a total of 65 games, while Rest appeared in 55, with fairly similar overall statistics. In terms of champion picks, Rest leaned toward a more traditional style, with K’Sante, Renekton, Rumble, and Ambessa as his most played champions. Driver, on the other hand, had Gragas as his most played champion, a pick he played more than anyone else across the major leagues, while also heavily featuring Sion, one of the defining meta champions of Season 15.
Following the announcement of his departure, Driver posted a Looking for Team message on his social media. The 23-year-old Taiwanese toplaner should have no trouble finding a new team, having been one of the faces of CFO, with a strong media presence and an attractive playstyle, even in a season where the toplane was not a primary carry role. A move to the LPL, similar to JunJia and HongQ, could be an option, or a new challenge within the LCP, as many teams are still looking to fill their toplane position.
