CFO earned their second LCP title in a row
In a thrilling grand final of the LCP (League of Legends Championship Pacific) Mid Season 2025, CTBC Flying Oyster secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over GAM Esports. The match went the distance, with the fifth and decisive map finally tipping in favor of CFO, who not only claimed the championship title but also locked in as the first region seed for MSI. The win marks a crucial milestone for the team, confirming their place at the top of the LCP standings and their second title in a row this year.
The series was a true back-and-forth battle. CFO opened strong by convincingly taking the first map, but GAM quickly responded with a win of their own. The momentum continued to shift as both teams traded one map each. The fifth map was especially nerve-wracking, ending in a low-elimination scoreline of 7–2, proof of just how closely matched the two teams were and how high the stakes had become. Among the players, one stood above the rest: Chiu "Doggo" Tzu-Chuan. His consistent performance and high-impact plays across all five maps made him the undisputed MVP of the series. The Taiwanese ADC, fresh off several years in the LPL, continues to make his mark since his return in the APAC region last offseason. He helps CFO lift their third trophy — his second back-to-back title following their Winter victory.
The Oysters lead the way
The Flying Oyster will once again carry the banner of the LCP on the international stage, securing a direct spot in the MSI 2025 Main Event. There, they’ll face off against the top seeds from the LTA, LEC, LCK, and LPL, as well as the teams emerging from the Play-In stage, where GAM Esports will now have to earn their place. CFO joins Movistar KOI in the Main Event, while GAM heads to the Play-In alongside the likes of G2 Esports.
Given the level of play we've seen across the board, predicting how the regions stack up is no easy task. CFO’s impressive run at the First Stand earlier this year is still fresh in memory — a reminder of just how far the LCP has come since its formation. The league’s structure and competition have undeniably raised the overall standard in the region. With all this momentum, MSI 2025 is shaping up to deliver some truly electric matchups. If CFO and GAM carry their current form, the international stage may well witness a new regional power rise.
