Croco was named MVP in his debut game with BRION
Week 5 of the LCK wrapped up with KT Rolster’s Roadshow, featuring a highly anticipated Telecom War where reigning World Champions T1 emerged victorious over KT. In the second series, OKSavingsBank BRION defeated the winless DN Freecs, who now sits at 0-10 and sees its playoff hopes diminish further, especially as BRION is a direct rival. Junglers were in the spotlight for the day’s MVP honors, with Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun standing out in the first series, while Kim "Croco" Dong-beom earned MVP in his debut appearance for BRION.
Finally some consistency
For the first time this split, T1 manages to chain two consecutive victories—and against strong opponents. After defeating Dplus KIA last week, they now bring down KT at the Suwon Convention Center during the Telecom War. The opening game was a bloodbath, with more than one kill per minute and T1 maintaining the gold lead for most of the match. KT’s mid-jungle duo put up a good fight, but it wasn’t enough to stop Oner’s Xin Zhao, well supported by Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong’s Lucian.
The second game was much tighter, with T1 repeatedly diving Shin "Casting" Min-je on the topside, while KT responded by putting pressure on the botlane. In the end, it was T1’s scaling that made the difference, with Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok’s Viktor leading the way to victory. With this win, T1 now sits in third place in the LCK, while KT drops to eighth.
Still not working
Another loss for the Freecs, who still can’t find their way to a win in this LCK Round 1–2 split, despite a recent jungle change with academy player Bang "DDoiV" Moon-yeong stepping in for Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon. Today, they fell 2-1 to BRION. The first game was heavily one-sided, with Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon’s Ashe putting on a show—finishing 14/0/8 with over 90% kill participation.
The Freecs bounced back in Game 2 with a more controlled performance and a draft that was easier to execute, sending the series to a deciding Game 3. But once again, it wasn’t enough. Croco’s unkillable Naafiri completely took over the game, ending with a dominant 12/0/3 and securing a crucial win for OKSavingsBank BRION.
The LCK returns next Wednesday as usual, kicking off with BNK FEARX vs. BRION, followed by a clash between two struggling teams at the moment: Dplus KIA vs. KT Rolster.
