Kim "
Kellin" Hyeong-gyu has found a new team. After three years of dedicated service at Dplus KIA, the 23-year-old support was officially announced by
FearX (FOX)
on Thursday,
signing with them until the end of 2026. He is taking the spot left vacant by
Joo "Duro" Min-kyu, who moved to Gen.G.
Kellin will now begin his sixth year of competition in the LCK, having experienced both highs and lows throughout his career. After being sidelined and replaced by Jeong "Moham" Jae-hun last summer, Kellin was unable to compete at this yearâs World Championship. His departure from Dplus KIA is thus a logical step, allowing him to return to competition and prove he is capable of more than his overall performance this year. Indeed, he was part of a roster that could never do better than double fourth place, always trailing behind the three giants of the league: T1, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life Esports.
In a league where the offseason has already been intense for the favorites, FearX are working on building a promising roster and have just signed their second player. With the arrival of Kellin, the FOX botlane is now complete. The support playerâs experience will pair with
ADC Nam "Diable" Dae-geun, who is entering the league for the first time, having been promoted from the LCK CL roster.
Together, they form the first pillar of the team, which will be built around them. The FOX seem to be taking a meticulous approach this offseason, aiming to improve on their performance from last year, where they finished 7th in Spring and 6th in Summer. Beyond these two positions, itâs still uncertain whether Song "Clear" Hyeon-min, Kim "Willer" Jeong-hyeon and Jeon "Raptor" Eo-jin will stay, even though their contracts last until the end of 2025 according to the
contract database. Nothing is official yet regarding their future midlaner.
