In September 2025, Yu "JackeyLove" Wen-Bo mentioned the possibility of taking a break from his professional career to focus on his health. On November 27, with Top Esports' star ADC having re-signed for the 2026 season as announced by the club, he indicated a strong likelihood of missing the early part of the season.

Suffering from chronic tinnitus—a condition causing constant ringing in the ears that disrupts sleep, focus, and overall mood—he explained that his doctors have advised him for months against playing too many games in a row, as it severely strains his ears. Although the situation appeared critical and required urgent care, he plans to use the offseason for treatment, which will impact the season's start.

According to him, the club is fully aware and supportive: “I talked to Guo ‘Hao’ Hao (TES General Manager) pretty early on. I went to the doctors and they told me to receive treatment for a period of time, which might affect the early portion of the upcoming competitive schedule. So I’ll be taking a break to rest and recover, to get my condition back in form. Then I’ll look for the right moment to come back. I need to take care of things first.”

TES is going six-man

With eight years of competition behind him, JackeyLove is set to take his first career break. Rumors already suggest he might miss only the first split of the year, which accounts for just a small portion of the Championship Points distributed annually and used for Worlds qualification.

TES will run a six-man roster, at least at the start of the year. The club has already announced the signing of Zi "JiaQi" Jia-Qi, the ADC from Royal Never Give Up in 2025 until their dramatic downfall and mid-season exit, after which he joined FunPlus Phoenix to finish 9th-12th in the LPL's final split.
