The Polish Jungler earns his third Western MVP
Kacper “Inspired” Słoma is a Western jungling phenom. Now, FlyQuest’s superstar jungler has further cemented his legacy, taking home his third MVP award.
Inspired had already earned both the LEC and LCS MVP awards — in the summer splits of 2021 and 2022 respectively. That made him the first player to win the MVP award in both Western regions.
That means this victory put Inspired's name in the history books for several reasons: The LTA North did not crown an MVP in Split 1, making the lengthy “LTA North Split 2 Kia MVP Award” the first split MVP ever for the newly-rebranded region.
The voting for the MVP award took place between May 18-21, using a ballot system voted on by players, coaches, media, and fans. Inspired won the MVP in a total landslide, receiving 25 first-choice votes for MVP, with only five first-choice votes cast for anybody else. Of those five, all included Inspired as their second choice (except for the two votes cast by FlyQuest members, who could not vote for their own team).
Inspired’s MVP win comes after another wave of recognition towards FlyQuest from the LTA North Awards: the All-Pro Teams. Inspired was also the first choice there, as the All-Pro first jungler, alongside his entire roster on the All-Pro first team. It’s clear that FlyQuest’s dominance over their league has not gone unnoticed.
Inspired and the rest of FlyQuest are set to continue their playoffs run on Saturday, having already defeated Shopify Rebellion in the upper bracket 3-0. They’ll be facing off against Cloud9, who tied first with their 6-1 record in the regular season. FLY will look to prove that LTA North’s first MVP can live up to, and exceed, all the hype.
