The recall animation will have a new Summoner's Cup in it
Just after winning his sixth League of Legends Worlds championship title, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok will receive an update to his Ahri skin in addition to a new one for his victory. This update concerns the Immortalized Legend Ahri skin, inducted after Faker entered into Riot Games' Hall of Legends.
This change concerns the recall animation of the champion in game. We see Ahri returning to the base surrounded by the trophies of the Worlds won by Faker throughout his career. There will now be a sixth trophy during this animation.
Second update in two years
Initially released in June 2024, this skin was created to pay tribute to Faker's career. This was an exclusive skin sold for $500 to the biggest fans of the character, as well as Faker. This price had also caused controversy among fans of the video game, deeming this amount exorbitant and far too expensive for what the product represented. In response, Ahri's ban rate had skyrocketed during the first week of the skin's launch.
Do you own Faker legendary Ahri's skin ?
He had already experienced a first change a few months after his launch. Indeed, in the end of 2024, T1 and Faker won their fifth world championship title by defeating BLG 3-2 in the final. After this new title, Riot Games announces a visual update to the recall animation. The three trophies around Ahri increase to four, adding to the fifth that the champion holds in her hand.
After T1's new victory, the skin will therefore receive a second update, approximately one year and five months after its release. A fifth cup should be added around Ahri during her recall. Some fans are joking about how many updates the animation could get if Faker were to win Worlds again in the coming years. Only time will tell if the GOAT is still capable of claiming those titles.
