All matches are BO3 series that will either decide qualification or result in elimination
The EMEA Masters Summer 2025 resumed on Monday, October 6, with the fifth day of the Swiss Stage marking a pivotal moment in the tournament — four teams punched their tickets to the next round, while four others saw their journey come to an end. Verdant, Geekay Esports, Misa Esports, and GIANTX Pride emerged victorious and now join Berlin International Gaming and Vitality.Bee, who had already secured a qualification in the previous round last Friday.
In one of the biggest surprises of the day, Los Ratones fell short once again. Despite being one win away from qualification against Misa Esports, they lost 1–2 and now face an uphill battle to stay in contention. Baek "Mihile" Sang-hwi, Misa's toplaner, especially shone on the Rift against Simon "Baus" Hofverberg. Gentle Mates suffered a similar fate — despite their strong form throughout the event and the return of Panagiotis "Empyros" Tantis after injury, they came up short against Verdant, the NLC’s second seed.
A decisive day
This Tuesday marks a decisive day in the Swiss Stage, with all matches played in best-of-threes. Teams sitting at 2–3 will be fighting to avoid elimination, while those at 3–2 will battle for a playoff spot. The two-time defending champions Los Ratones will have a second chance to qualify as they take on Galions in what looks like an early finals clash on paper. Neither side has had a flawless Swiss Stage so far, and the loser will drop to 3–3, entering a do-or-die scenario to remain in the top 16 and reach playoffs.
A tense Spanish derby between Los Heretics and Barça eSports is set to decide which team advances and which one faces elimination. Karmine Corp Blue will meet one of the tournament’s surprise packages, Partizan Sangal, a team coming off two consecutive BO3 defeats and now facing another formidable opponent. Gentle Mates, meanwhile, will fight for qualification against StormMedia Fajnie Mieć Skład.
Other teams — including Bushido Wildcats, Veni Vidi Vici, Forsaken, and Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition — will also be battling to keep their tournament hopes alive as the Swiss Stage nears its conclusion.
