T1’s toplaner Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon announced on stream last Tuesday that he had chosen Ambessa for his 2025 Worlds skin. Following the team’s final victory over KT Rolster, he held a poll allowing fans to vote between Gragas, Ambessa, Camille, or others. In the end, the Matriarch of War came out on top.

Doran played Ambessa three times during Worlds — first securing a win in Game 1 of the Play-In against Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok and Invictus Gaming, then suffering a loss to Gen.G in a Swiss Stage best-of-one, and finally delivering a standout performance in the opening game of the Worlds final against KT Rolster.

Sixth batch of Worlds skins for T1

T1 and Worlds skins have become a true love story — five so far, and a sixth already on the way. In 2013, Jeong “Impact” Eon-young chose Jax; in 2015, Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-hwan picked Renekton; and in 2016, Lee “Duke” Ho-seong went with Ekko. After a few quiet years, T1 returned to the top of the world in 2023, with Choi “Zeus” Woo-je receiving two skins for Jayce as the finals' MVP. In 2024, he went with Gnar.

Today, it’s Doran’s turn to etch his name into the pantheon of the greatest players in League of Legends history. Ambessa will join the long list of champions commemorating T1’s legacy. Doran’s Game 1 performance in the Worlds final was truly commanding — his ultimates consistently found Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil’s Ashe, setting the tone for T1’s dominant start to the series.

The Other T1 Players

So far, only Ryu “Keria” Min-seok and Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong have spoken about their Worlds skins. The support is torn between Neeko, Lulu, and Seraphine, but fan opinion is gradually leaning toward Neeko, especially after his standout performances on her during Worlds. Gumayusi, who was the tournament MVP, is deciding between Yunara and Miss Fortune; as a reminder, he can receive two skins and could therefore pick both.

Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun and Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok have not commented yet, but the champions frequently mentioned online are Xin Zhao and Pantheon for the jungler, and Galio for the GOAT— a champion fans also requested heavily last year.
