LG will organize "Let's Play" in Paris at the beginning of June, an event focusing on Esports and Korean pop culture, during which the new Karmine Corp LEC team will take on a selection of former LCK stars. An exhibition dedicated to Esports in South Korea will also be held at the Korean Cultural Center from 24 May to 5 October 2024.

From June 1st to 2nd, LG Electronics France are organizing "Let's Play", an event focusing on Esports and Korean pop culture at ESpot, a complex dedicated to Esports practice in Paris.

Over the two days, ESpot will be packed with free activities focusing on the most popular video games and successful Korean TV series.

Numerous influencers from the French Esports scene will attend during the event, which will be open from 11 am to 5 pm on both days. The two days will end with two major events open to the public.

On Saturday night, journalist and emblematic figure of French Esports, Laure Valée will host a show on Esports in South Korea, alongside columnists from the scene and a former League of Legends world champion.

The highlight of the show on Sunday afternoon will be when the brand-new Karmine Corp LEC team plays their very first match against an all-star line-up of iconic former LCK players who have made their mark on the history of League of Legends over the years. The match will feature live commentary from Kameto, the founder of Karmine Corp, and will be broadcast live on his Twitch channel.

In addition, LG is joining forces with the Korean Cultural Center in Paris to offer the very first French exhibition dedicated to Esports. The exhibition, entitled "South Korea, history of the world leader in Esport", tells the story of Esports in the Land of the Morning Calm, from the creation of the discipline to its explosion in South Korea and then all over the world. Sheep Esports contributed to the exhibition's editorial design.

Through an interactive tour, discover the very early days of Esports via the democratization of Starcraft, PC Bangs and the creation of a TV channel dedicated to video game competition. The tour continues to the beginnings of the LCK, Korea's professional League of Legends league, which went on to become one of the most prestigious Esports competitions worldwide. Finally, the exhibition closes with the story of five LCK superstars, looking back at some of the memorable moments and achievements of these players who have shaped the reputation of Korean Esports over the years.

Taking place from 24 May to 5 October 2024 at the Korean Cultural Center, the exhibition will be accessible to everyone, from beginners to aficionados, and will be an excellent gateway for all newcomers wishing to find out more about Esports and everything it represents.

On Thursday, Karmine Corp officially announced their LEC squad for the rest of the season. Their roster includes toplaner Kim ‘Canna’ Chang-dong, a former top player in the LCK, as well as veteran Can ‘Closer’ Çelik and academy prospect Vladimiros ‘Vladi’ Kourtidis. Botlane Elias ‘Upset’ Lipp and Raphaël ‘Targamas’ Crabbé will also stay with the team and round out the roster. This Karmine Corp team will face a selection of historical figures from the Korean League of Legends scene on June 2.

The creation of these two events by LG highlights the passion for video games and its competitive branch Esports and is further proof of the brand's desire to promote the ecosystem. These actions are also in line with the partnerships LG has forged with the LCK, GenG, the LEC and Karmine Corp.
