SK Gaming qualified to LEC Season Finals thanks to their Championship Points
SK Gaming are qualified to LEC Season Finals. Despite their 1-2 loss against Karmine Corp in the LEC Summer Playoffs 2024 on Tuesday, the team managed to earn enough Championship points throughout the whole year to be at least in the top six and qualify. They indeed secured their place due to GiantX loss (1-2) on the other side of the bracket against Team BDS.
It is yet unclear how will the seeding be as it still depends on every team's result during current playoffs. However, five out of the six spots opened for the LEC Season Finals are already locked in by G2 Esports, Fnatic, BDS, MAD Lions KOI and SK Gaming.
Karmine Corp or GiantX ?
Only two teams are still competing for the one spot remaining : KC and GX. The remaining scenarios depend entirely on KC's future within the playoffs. If they win their next match against BDS, they will directly access the LEC Season Finals as a top 3 team of the Summer Split. If they loose then it will be the end of their season and GiantX would qualify thanks to Championship points.

Most of the suspense is therefore related to Karmine's result this tuesday at 5.PM CET where they'll face Adam "Adam" Maanane and his team mates in a high-tension best of 5. The winner of this match will go on to face G2 Esports in the loser bracket final. Fnatic are still waiting for their opponents for the Summer Split grand final.
