League of Legends Classic Tier List (based on early data leak)

Since July 29th, League of Legends Classic has finally brought players back to one of the most memorable eras of the game. Inspired mainly by Season 3, the mode brings back old champion kits, classic items, and a slower style of gameplay that defined the early years of League of Legends.

At launch, LoL Classic features 60 champions, all using their original kits, alongside the return of the old rune system and its progression tied to player levels. However, this initial roster is only the beginning. Riot has already planned several content waves, with the first expansion expected to add Akali, Kennen, and Shen on August 12. More champions will follow in future updates, with the roster gradually growing through regular patches and community-driven choices.

However, analyzing the Classic meta comes with one major difference compared to modern League. Riot Games has decided not to release official statistics for the mode, meaning players will not have access to the usual win rates, pick rates, or tier lists that quickly shape the competitive landscape. Instead, the community will have to discover what works on its own.

To build our first tier list, we therefore relied on data from the PBE scraped by Reddit user Intelligent-Past2802, with 10k games analysed*. These numbers should be taken as an early snapshot rather than a definitive ranking, as the meta is expected to evolve rapidly once players continue experimenting with the mode. Still, they offer the first indications of which champions could become the strongest picks in League of Legends Classic.
