Team Vitality continues to etch its name into Counter-Strike history. Last week, the Hive became only the fifth team to complete the ESL Grand Slam, winning four ESL tournaments out of the last ten entered, by triumphing at IEM Melbourne. That victory in the final allowed Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam’s squad to extend their remarkable winning streak: undefeated since January 24, Vitality left Australia with 21 consecutive wins. This week, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and his teammates set the standards even higher.

At the BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 in Copenhagen, the French team won both of their group stage matches—against Wildcard and MOUZ—bringing their total to 23 victories. This achievement saw Vitality draw level with Team Liquid, who had achieved a 23-match winning streak in 2019. That historic run had earned the Dutch organization the second-longest winning streak in CS history, still far behind the staggering record set by Ninjas in Pyjamas between 2012 and 2013, with a jaw-dropping 60 consecutive wins.

25 Consecutive Wins

Vitality, for its part, did not stop there. After matching Liquid’s performance, the Bees surpassed it by winning the semifinal on Saturday against Team Spirit. The following day, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and his teammates achieved a double milestone: they claimed their fifth tournament title of the year—once again defeating Team Falcons in the final, as they did in Melbourne—and further extended their streak. As of now, Vitality stands at 25 consecutive wins, establishing a new benchmark for Counter Strike 2. Incidentally, 25 is also the number of MVP titles awarded to ZywOo, who was once again rewarded this Sunday following another week of stellar performances in Copenhagen.
