A fifth Counter Strike Major for PGL and a first in Southeast Asia
As 2025 draws to a close, PGL has announced that it will stage a new Counter-Strike 2 Major in Singapore, scheduled to run from 25 November to 13 December 2026, as the second CS2 Major of the year. Thirty-two of the world’s strongest teams will compete for a $1,250,000 prize pool in a three-stage format that will culminate in a grand final to decide who lifts the trophy in Singapore. The final four days of the event will be played in front of a live audience at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, an emblematic arena in Asia known for its clear sightlines and its suitability for large-scale events.
This Major will be the fifth Counter-Strike Major organised by PGL, and the fourth in the last five years, following Krakow, Stockholm, Antwerp, and Copenhagen. With this new edition, the organiser aims to build on that momentum by maintaining a strong focus on competitive integrity, high-end broadcast production, and an overall experience that aligns with the expectations of the Counter-Strike community.
An emerging hub for esports
The PGL Singapore Major 2026 will be the first CS2 Major ever held in Southeast Asia, a significant marker in the expansion of the competitive scene beyond its traditional European and North American strongholds, mirroring the way China has increasingly hosted major tournaments recently. For PGL, it also represents a logical return to a city where the organiser has already delivered several major events, including the Dota 2 Singapore Major and The International 2022. Singapore has gradually established itself as a key destination for international esports competitions, and this Major further consolidates that position.
PGL presents Singapore as the next natural step in its broader project: connecting more regions and communities to the highest level of CS2 competition. Tickets are set to go on sale in the coming months, offering fans across the region a rare opportunity to experience a Counter-Strike Major from up close.
