The season is gradually turning into a nightmare for
. In a statement published on its social media this Tuesday, the Korean organization announced that it has benched its AD Carry and star player,
. The decision follows a difficult start to the season for BFX, who have struggled to rediscover their form since the
LCK Cup.
The young prodigy has been demoted to the LCK CL for Tuesday’s match against Kiwoom DRX Challengers. No timeline has been provided regarding his return to the main roster, and he will be replaced in the meantime by Kim “Slayer” Jin-young. In its official statement, the organization indicated that the decision came after the player failed to attend a fan meeting, despite “continuous efforts from the organization and coaching staff to ensure his participation until the very end.”
BNK FEARX further stated that “as there have been repeated instances in which internal rules and basic commitments were not properly observed, the organization has decided to place Diable on send-down status.” This marks a significant move from an organization currently sitting at two wins and six losses in the LCK, following what had initially been a promising start to the year. BFX had reached the LCK Cup final and qualified for First Stand, but have since struggled to regain their early-season form, despite occasional standout performances from their ADC.
Another change in the mid lane?
In the same statement, BFX also provided further details regarding the roster change made a few weeks ago. After an 0–3 start, the team decided to promote mid laner
to the starting lineup, moving
to the bench. According to the organization, this decision stemmed from differences in approach to the game and a lack of synergy within the team. During their trials, the team reported observing positive changes when Diable and Daystar were playing together.
However, in light of the recent developments involving Diable, the organization stated that it is “currently reviewing future roster direction by carefully considering both performance and team synergy.” As a result, VicLa’s return to the starting lineup in the coming days remains a possibility, following a record of two wins and three losses with Daystar.
