All Gamers take control of the Esports World Cup Club Championship

A quiet week in Paris for the Esports World Cup, but one with major consequences, notably with AG.AL International’s points explosion and then... that’s pretty much it. Aside from the Chinese club, this fifth week of the Esports World Cup was more than quiet while also being marked by some major absences, particularly for Team Falcons, who missed out on opportunities in several games.

On Honor of Kings, All Gamers came away with the biggest result but narrowly missed out on the perfect week. Historically known as the biggest club on the HoK scene, particularly in China, AG missed its first championship point in the grand final against Kuaishou Gaming, leading 3-2 before Game 6 of the best-of-seven. In the end, the other Chinese organization came out on top by winning the final two maps and claiming the 1000 points awarded to the winner. AG had also won the event in 2025.

All Gamers, therefore, came away with 750 points, enough to close the gap before Tekken 8. It is also worth noting the 200 points picked up by Team Vitality after a blank Week 4, as well as Virtus.Pro, who had also only picked up 50 points last week. Geekay Esports also secured 500 points on HoK, while Aurora took 200, two clubs with around ten appearances in total, who remain outside the Club Championship Top 10.

Much like other games such as EA Sports FC or Riot Games titles, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has little to no impact on the Club Championship, mainly because the competition only brings in a large majority of rosters competing in the CDL, meaning many clubs only exist through this competition or are not looking to compete for the overall standings. Falcons was therefore able to pick up some points, but lost the third-place match to 100 Thieves, securing 300 points. For its second game after VALORANT at this EWC, 100T picked up nearly 500 points, bringing its total to 1500 points after its first-place finish in Riot’s FPS, enough to move up to 9th place overall.

After defeating Team Heretics, Optic Gaming, therefore, picked up its first 1000 points of the 2026 edition of the Esports World Cup, and mostly its last points, considering that the North American club is not competing elsewhere. Already the winner of Warzone in Week 4, with its first 1000 points, G2 Esports picked up 200 points on CoD here, bringing its total to 1200 points, level with Team Spirit in 11th place in the Club Championship.

On Tekken 8, AL.AG International picked up its first title of the 2026 edition thanks to Khawaja "M. Zubair" Muhammad Zubair and his almost perfect run. Defeated in the group stage, the Pakistani player from the Chinese club fought his way through the lower bracket to reach the second group stage. After winning his opening match, he went on to defeat his teammate and Pakistani legend Arslan "Arslan Ash" Siddique 3-0, booking his place in the playoffs in style. Not initially invited, the AG player had already had to fight his way through the Last Chance Qualifier to make the tournament, and therefore found himself in the Top 8. Riding a strong momentum, he continued his run by taking down Nauman "Numan Ch" Chaudhr, the last Team Falcons player remaining in the competition.

Facing Arslan Ash again, now representing Twisted Minds, M. Zubair found himself with his back against the wall in the best-of-nine after his Pakistani counterpart took a 4-2 lead. However, he bounced back, winning three points in a row to qualify for the grand final to everyone’s surprise. Facing Yoon "LowHigh" Sun-woong, a DRX player, M. Zubair made short work of the Korean, winning the grand final 5-0 and bringing 1000 points back to his club. Despite fielding four players, Falcons therefore only picked up 200 points, while Twisted Minds and its player Arslan Ash lost the third-place match to secure 300 points. With Jeon "Jeondding" Sang-hyun, Team Vitality also picked up 200 points.

In addition to these three games, Rainbow Six Siege also kicked off during Week 5, and neither AG.AL nor Team Falcons managed to qualify for the playoffs, ensuring that they would pick up no more points. This leaves the door open for some teams to climb the standings, notably Team Liquid, third in 2025 and currently only holding points from this first qualification for the final stage on Ubisoft’s FPS. Geekay, despite a strong presence in the competition but still lacking results, should also be able to pick up points, as should Weibo, a Top 8 team in 2025 that currently sits in 13th place.

Ultimately, after Week 5, the Chinese club comes out as the big winner, with 1750 additional points and a first-place finish ahead of Falcons, with a 450-point lead over the Saudi powerhouse. The two are now well ahead, with the Top 3 completed by Natus Vincere, the Ukrainian club itself sitting 650 points behind the winner of the first two EWC editions. 50 points behind, Team Vitality and Virtus.Pro complete the Top 5.
